Moquette Films is the independent production company established by Alysia Maciejowska in 2017. Passionate about good drama, exciting and untold stories, our intention is to facilitate more diversity on screen and behind the camera, to break down barriers, cross borders and inspire tolerance, understanding and partnership, and most of all to make damn good films.
Working with established and emerging writers and directors, we are concentrating on our growing slate of drama (shorts, feature, TV) and documentary. Our aim is to develop Moquette Films into a reputable, world-class content producer of quality, honest, human and impactful stories.
We also help produce and facilitate commercials. Based in Glasgow, central Scotland, we have some of the world’s finest filming locations on our doorstep. Scottish government funding of the screen sector has recently doubled and we are also part of the UK tax incentive for incoming productions. With over 12 years industry experience in drama and commercials, and having attended co-production markets including Cinemart (Rotterdam) and IFP Week (New York), our aim is to help co-produce exciting international projects and help bring more productions to Scotland.
Moquette Films is working closely with Lindsay McGee of Braw Films and Camilla Bray of Rosetta Productions in the development of Jenni Fagan’s THE PANOPTICON, directed by Jim Loach, which we aim to shoot in 2021.
